Dow Jones (Symbol DJY0): Dow Jones Industrial Average is an American index comprised of 30 stocks to judge how the market is doing as a whole. It consists of stocks from all industries and groups and it is named after Charles Dow.

Nasdaq Conposite (Symbol NASX): Nasdaq is the index for US Nasdaq exchange and the benchmark for US technology stocks.

S&P 500 (Symbol INX): The S&P 500 is an US stock market index made by Standard & Poor. S&P 500 has 500 US stocks. Dow Jones has 30 companies only whereas the S&P 500 has 500 companies in it. So S&P 500 reflects the nature of the broader market as a whole while Dow Jones only reflects the major US stocks.

DAX (Symbol DAX): Index of German stocks.

CAC (Symbol CAC): Index of French stocks.

Hang Seng Index (Symbol HSI): Index of Hong Kong stock market.

Nikkei 225 (Symbol NKY): Index of Japanese stock market.

Straits Times (Symbol STI): Index of Singapore stock market.

ASX 200 (Symbol XJO): Index of Australia stock market.

NZX 50 (Symbol NZD): Index of New Zealand stock market.

Bvespa (Symbol BVSP): Index of Brazil stock market.

Nifty (Symbol NIFTY): India’s Nifty index.

Bank Nifty (Symbol BANKNIFTY): India’s Bank Nifty index.
