BSE Holidays List 2019

Bombay Stock Exchange, in short BSE established in the year 1875. It is recognized as the oldest stock exchange in Asia and the 10th largest exchange in the world. As of April 2018, the market capitalization of the exchange is near about $2.3 trillion.

The exchange operates the market for five days in a week (from Monday to Friday) 9.15 am to 3.30 pm. It remains closed on the weekends and all the national holidays in India.

NSE Holidays List 2019

NSE (National Stock Exchange) is the largest and leading exchanges in India, established in 1992. It is considered as the first demutualized electronic exchange in India. It is the world’s 11th largest stock exchange. As of 2018 April, it has an estimated total market capitalization of above $2.27 trillion.

Like Bombay Stock Exchange, NSE also works in five days a week from 9.15 am to 3.30 pm. It remains closed only on weekends and national holidays.

Other Rules of Holidays

Apart from these holidays, there are some settlement and clearing holidays. Besides this, there is a day, called Muhurat trading. The tradition of Muhurat trading begun from a long time ago, traders welcome the new year in a positive way. On the day of Deepawali, the Muhurat Trading happens every year.
