Is Saturday a stock market holiday?

NSE or National Stock Exchange is open from Monday to Friday every weekday. And it is closed every Saturday and Sunday. This story can be exceptional if any special trading sessions are announced on weekend days.

Can I buy stocks at night?

In India, you can buy or sell stocks at night if your broker provides AMO (After Market Order). Indian stock market remains close at night but the commodity market remains open till 11.30 pm. So, by using AMO order, you can buy or sell stocks for the next trading day in advance. If you want to work in the international market, you can even trade at night.

What is clearing holidays in NSE?

Clearing holiday is different from the trading holidays. Clearing holiday means when the entire trading community is not trading but people working on the exchanges do their settlement work. Both in trading and clearing holidays, trading activity remains close. The difference is during clearing holidays, exchange workers work.

What are the trading hours in India?

The normal trading time for both of the exchanges NSE, BSE, the equity market is between 9:15 am to 03:30 pm, Monday to Friday. The trading time for the commodity (MCX/Multi Commodity Exchange) market is between 10:00 AM to 11:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Besides this, the normal trading time for Agri-community (NCDEX) market is between 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
